Dr Howard Lam MBBS FRACGP MMED (Skin Cancer)
Dr Howard Lam graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1997 and has attained a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He is a registered practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
A co-founder of Skin Check WA, Dr Lam has been involved with full time skin cancer practice since 2003 and had detected and treated thousands of skin cancers.
Dr Lam’s postgraduate qualifications include a Diploma from the Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine, Certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine, Certificate in Dermoscopy and a Masters of Medicine (in Skin Cancer) from the University of Queensland. He also regularly attends post graduate training courses and conferences in skin cancer medicine.

Dr Henry Law MBBS FRACGP Dip. Skin Cancer
Dr Henry Law graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1994. A co-founder of Skin Check WA, he has taken a special interest in skin surgery and procedures since 2003.
His postgraduate qualification includes the Diploma of the Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine, Certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine and Certificate in Dermoscopy. He is an accredited doctor of the Skin Cancer College
He has a special interest in skin surgery that results in reduced scarring.
Dr Toby Bell MBBS FRACGP
Dr Bell is a full time skin cancer physician with over 20 years of experience as a general practitioner previously. He has an eye for details, honed over many years by his other passion as an accomplished sculptor and painter. We are proud to have him bring this skill to our team. Dr Toby Bell practices at both our Inglewood and Balcatta clinics.

Dr Rob Hurrelbrink MBBS (Hons) PhD (Dist) BSc (Hons) BA (Edu) DipDerm FRACGP
Dr Rob is truly a high achiever, having completed multiple university degrees with honours. Prior to medicine he was an accomplished research scientist, having previously graduated with a BSc in Microbiology and Biochemistry as well as a PhD in Virology.
He spent time overseas as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Oxford before the calling of medicine lead him back to post-graduate studies at the University of WA. True to his form, he graduated with honours and has recently attained Fellowship of the RACGP.

Dr Ann Rosenow MBBS (Hons), BSc (Hons), FRACGP
Dr Ann Rosenow holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of WA, graduating with honours. Finding her next challenge, she continued at the UWA Medical School and graduated again with honours.
She is a distinguished achiever throughout her medical career and is a recent prize-winner in the Fellowship of the RACGP. She is committed to delivering the best service to her patients.

Dr Vaneesa Siva MBBS, FRACGP, FSCCA
Vaneesa joined our SCWA team in 2014 and continues to work as a full time practitioner in our Inglewood surgery. She holds a Fellowship in Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Also by being a member of this College, she partakes in continued medical education to keep abreast with the latest in skin cancer development and management. Vaneesa enjoys the challenges in this field and her meticulous surgical skills are well noted in ensuring the best scar outcomes. We are proud to have her on board and can assure you that she will continue to strive for excellence in providing patient care.

Dr Andrea Gomes MBBS FRACGP
Dr Gomes graduated in medicine from the University of WA and completed further training at Sir Charles Gairdner hospital. In 2013 she was awarded the WAGPET community medicine award for her dedication to community based medicine.
She grew up in rural WA where she has seen first hand the results of sun damaged skin in rural West Australians. Apart from her high academic achievements, she is also an accomplished musician, having won a number of awards and trophies at music festivals.
She has a keen interest and passion for early skin cancer detection and management.

Dr Ai Lee Lim MBBS AMC FRACGP Dip. Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery Adv. Certificate Dermoscopy
Dr Ai Lee Lim has worked as a doctor for over 10 years. She worked in various specialties in the hospital and surgeries in Perth and also in the rural areas prior to joining us. She found love in skin cancer medicine and surgery early in her career. She is passionate about early skin cancer detection, skin cancer prevention (including skin repair), and simple and complex surgeries.

Dr Jill Watson BSc MPh MBBS FRACGP
Jill has a bachelor of medicine and surgery from the University of Notre Dame and has a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Western Australia. She has a keen understanding of the importance of early detection of skin cancer and is passionate about providing high quality health care.

Dr Jonathan Chiew MBBS(Hons) DCH DTM&H FRACGP
Dr Jonathan Chiew graduated from the University of WA with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with honours in 2009 and has completed further diplomas in Child Health and Tropical Medicine.
He has broad experience in both hospital and community medicine and brings an integrated, thorough approach to skin cancer medicine. He has a keen eye for photography and also enjoys running in his spare time.
Dr Jonathan will be at our new CBD clinic from February 2021.
Dr Michelle Luy MBBS FRACGP Dip Dermoscopy
Since graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of WA, Dr Luy has undergone training in many areas, including hospital medicine and general practice. She has a broad range of interests and has completed post-graduate diplomas in women’s health and child health. She has also worked as a surgeon’s assistant and enjoys a balance between family medicine, skin cancer medicine, and medical student teaching. In her free time, she enjoys documentaries, cinema, and live music.

Dr Simon Kessell MBBS
Dr Simon Kessell holds a medical degree from the University of Western Australia, and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley where he had the privilege of studying under the U.S. Treasury Secretary and former Federal Reserve Chairman, Dr Janet Yellen. He lived in New York for many years working in the healthcare investment industry. Returning to Perth, he has worked in General Practice and Skin Cancer Medicine. He received training in skin cancer surgery from UWA, and skin cancer diagnostics and treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre and New York University in New York where he returns several times a year, and cosmetic dermatology in both Australia and the U.S.
In 2016, he joined Skin Check WA and its team of experienced skin cancer professionals who value the importance of excellent skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. When not practicing at our Leeming and Balcatta clinics, Dr Kessell reads widely and struggles to keep up with his twins’ studies in London and Texas, and his adolescent Border Collie.

Dr Cinmy Cheung MBBS FRACGP
Dr Cinmy Cheung graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from the University of Western Australia and also holds a Diploma of Child Health. She has worked in multiple fields in both hospital and general practice. She is a strong patient advocate who has a keen interest in preventative medicine, particularly in the field of skin cancer medicine.

Dr Claira has a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of WA, graduating with honours, and has a Diploma in Child Health. She is passionate about providing optimal care to her patients and promoting preventative health.

As a keen windsurfer, Cristina arrived from the UK over 15 years ago searching for our winds and waves. Since graduating in 2011, she has worked in various hospitals and clinics. We welcome her to our team as she pursues her keen interest in skin cancer medicine.

Dr Jane McCulloch has worked as a Doctor extensively in North West WA prior to returning to Perth. She is passionate about early intervention in health which led her to skin cancer detection and early treatment.

Dr Huang graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with honours from the University of Western Australia and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She also holds a Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Vocational Graduate Diploma of Women’s Health, and Diploma of Child Health. She enjoys running in her spare time and is a strong advocate for good skincare. She is committed to preventative medicine and patient-centred holistic care.

Dr Kate Johnson MBBS FRACGP
Dr. Johnson graduated from the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle and is a GP fellowed with the RACGP with a special interest in skin cancer medicine. She has experience working in rural and remote WA areas. She has completed the RACGP Certificate of Primary Care Dermatology & holds a certificate in dermatoscopy. She values education and keeping up to date with the latest in skin cancer medicine.

Dr Priscilla Tan MBBS DCH FRACGP PhD
Dr Priscilla Tan graduated from the University of Western Australia and worked across multiple medical and surgical specialties at various hospitals in Western Australia before commencing General Practice. She was awarded three research scholarships and completed a Ph.D. in Ophthalmology from the Lions Eye Institute and UWA, publishing 10 papers in international journals. She has been a Unit Coordinator, Clinical Lecturer, and Examiner at UWA, and continues to be actively involved in teaching medical students at UWA. She holds a Diploma in Child Health. Priscilla’s interest in skin began in 2005 with work experience in Dermatology, and she later gained broad clinical and surgical experience in Oculoplastics. This experience, coupled with her passion for preventative healthcare in General Practice, has to lead her to pursue her keen interest in skin cancer medicine.

Dr Georgina Fiori MBBS FRACGP
Dr Georgina Fiori holds an MBBS from the University of WA and has had a longstanding interest in dermatology and skin pathology. She has completed a Professional Certificate of Dermatology and has extensive experience providing care for adults and children in Perth and rural WA. Georgina has a strong interest in ongoing education, having published research into skin conditions affecting our rural Indigenous communities, as well as methods for improving education for health workers in skin medicine. She is passionate about reducing the burden that skin cancers cause in our community, and is committed to using her skills to provide excellent care in this field.

Dr Shiran Xiao MBBS BN DRANZCOG DIP PALL CARE FRACGP
Dr Shiran Xiao obtained her MBBS from the University of Notre Dame Australia in Fremantle. She also received post-graduate qualifications in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Palliative Care Medicine. During her General Practice training, she developed an interest in Skin Cancer Medicine and is passionate about early detection and treatment of skin cancers. In her spare time, she enjoys Muay Thai training and travelling.

Dr Shawn Hsia BSc MBE MBBS MSurg FRACGP
Dr Shawn Hsia graduated from Flinders University in 2011. After the internship, he completed three years of surgical training, during which time, he received a Master’s degree in Surgical Sciences from The University of Adelaide. He completed his GP training in WA and is a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practice.
Shawn reads and studies conscientiously even on his days off to further his knowledge and skills. He lives on black coffee, appreciates arts, loves music, and has a good taste in wine. He also jogs every day.

Dr Eva Tan MBBS (UWA), MMed (USyd), GCertChildHealth (USyd) FRACGP
Dr Eva graduated in medicine in 2014 and since then has worked in many disciplines in the hospital setting. She has also completed further studies in medicine, including acute care and pediatrics. She is currently completing an extended skills program as part of her fellowship program for General Practice. She has a broad range of interests, including pediatrics, women’s health, and dermatology.

Dr Corryn McLarty BSc, MBBS (Hons), DCH, FRACGP
Dr Corryn holds a Bachelor of Science from McGill University in Canada, graduating with honors. She went on to complete her MBBS from UWA and graduated again with honors. She holds a Diploma in Child Health and is undertaking a Professional Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine.
With a strong family history of skin cancer and three very fair-skinned children, she is passionate about sun safety, skin cancer prevention, and the early detection of skin cancer.

Dr Felix Grusche MBBS PHD, FRACGP
Dr Felix Grusche studied Medicine at Monash University in Melbourne after completing a PhD in cancer research at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
He has a long-term interest in dermatology and cancer and has published multiple research articles on these topics in peer-reviewed journals. He enjoys the procedural work that comes with skin cancer medicine and is excited to be part of the team at Skin Check WA.

Dr Robert Grohs MBBS, BExSc
Dr Robert Grohs graduated from the University of Notre Dame School of Medicine with distinction. He has published multiple articles and presented internationally on skin medicine.
He holds a professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and prior to starting at Skin Check WA he was training as a pathology registrar which aided him in understating skin cancer at a cellular level.

Dr Justine Mackie MBBS (Hons), BHSc (NM)
Dr Justine graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Notre Dame University in Fremantle with first class honours in research.
Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Science and Naturopathy degree in Melbourne. After nine years of University, Dr Justine then worked for many years in emergency medicine, the intensive care unit and now is completing her Fellowship for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
She has a strong interest in skin health and preventative health and looks forward to working with you on your health journey.

Dr Ve Wen Phang MBBS FRACGP
Dr Ve Wen Phang graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2013 and since then has worked in many disciplines – surgical and nonsurgical, in the hospital setting.
She has completed her GP training in WA and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice. She has a special interest in all things skin, including sun protection and skin cancers.
In her free time, she enjoys music, exercise, and food.

Dr Bryan Tan MBBS, FRACGP
Bryan graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Western Australia (UWA) in 2014. He has always enjoyed working with his hands and spent a number of years working in various medical and surgical specialties in public and private hospitals all over WA. Most recently he has enjoyed working within the outer communities of Perth and has completed further training in General Practice.
He is passionate about education and ongoing professional development having published and presented research across multiple disciplines including; Orthopaedic, Plastic and Ophthalmological Surgery; as well as Mental Health outcomes in the Indigenous Australian Youth population. He also enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience by teaching and training Medical Students at UWA.
Bryan brings a warm and friendly approach to his practice of Skin Cancer Medicine. He enjoys getting to know his patients and personalising his approach to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of Skin Cancer to them.
In whatever free time he has left, he enjoys playing squash, training for triathlons, catching up with the latest Netflix series, and spending time with his family and Miniature Schnauzer ‘Poppy’.

Dr Paige Morley MBBS FRACGP
Dr Paige graduated from the University of WA with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2009. She went on to gain further certification in women’s health, and Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine, before gaining Fellowship in the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015. She then went on to work in the fields of GP, cosmetic skin, and medical laser treatments.
Paige’s passion for skin care has stemmed from a keen interest in the areas of cosmetics and preventative care and her strong family history of skin cancer.
She believes prevention is key and continues to promote sun safety, skin cancer prevention, and general skin care.

Dr Claire Forde BSc(Hons), BPodM, MD
Dr Claire graduated from Notre Dame University in Fremantle in 2018. Prior to commencing General Practice training she worked at a number of hospitals in Perth and regional WA and formerly had a career as a podiatrist in the Mid-West.
She has undertaken further training in sexual health and pediatrics.
She has a strong belief in the importance of preventative medicine and looks forward to working with our patients to optimise their skin health.

Dr Jennifer Alderson
Dr Jen Alderson graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2016 and worked at a number of hospitals in Perth and rural WA before starting General Practice training.
She has completed additional courses in skin cancer medicine, sexual health and paediatrics. She enjoys working with patients in the early detection and prevention of skin cancer.
In her spare time, Jen likes scuba diving, travelling, camping and spending time at home with her dog Coco.

Dr Sally Roberts
Dr Sally graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2013, and attained her fellowship with the RACGP in 2018. Growing up on a farm in rural WA, and spending much of her career in Broome, she has many friends, family and patients affected by skin cancer and sun damage. She is passionate about preventative medicine and early intervention.
