Dr Gomes graduated in medicine from the University of WA and completed further training at Sir Charles Gairdner hospital. In 2013 she was awarded the WAGPET community medicine award for her dedication to community based medicine.
She grew up in rural WA where she has seen first hand the results of sun damaged skin in rural West Australians. Apart from her high academic achievements, she is also an accomplished musician, having won a number of awards and trophies at music festivals.
She has a keen interest and passion for early skin cancer detection and management.

Dr Ai Lee Lim has worked as a doctor for over 10 years. She worked in various specialties in the hospital and surgeries in Perth and also in the rural areas prior to joining us.
She found love in skin cancer medicine and surgery early in her career. She is passionate about early skin cancer detection, skin cancer prevention (including skin repair), and simple and complex surgeries.

Jill has a bachelor of medicine and surgery from the University of Notre Dame and has a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Western Australia.

Since graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of WA, Dr Luy has undergone training in many areas, including hospital medicine and general practice.
She has a broad range of interests and has completed post-graduate diplomas in women’s health and child health. She has also worked as a surgeon’s assistant and enjoys a balance between family medicine, skin cancer medicine, and medical student teaching. In her free time, she enjoys documentaries, cinema, and live music.

Dr Jane McCulloch has worked as a Doctor extensively in North West WA prior to returning to Perth. She is passionate about early intervention in health which led her to skin cancer detection and early treatment.

Dr Huang graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with honours from the University of Western Australia and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She also holds a Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Vocational Graduate Diploma of Women’s Health, and Diploma of Child Health. She enjoys running in her spare time and is a strong advocate for good skincare. She is committed to preventative medicine and patient-centred holistic care.

Dr. Johnson graduated from the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle and is a GP fellowed with the RACGP with a special interest in skin cancer medicine. She has experience working in rural and remote WA areas. She has completed the RACGP Certificate of Primary Care Dermatology & holds a certificate in dermatoscopy. She values education and keeping up to date with the latest in skin cancer medicine.

Dr Priscilla Tan graduated from the University of Western Australia and worked across multiple medical and surgical specialties at various hospitals in Western Australia before commencing General Practice. She was awarded three research scholarships and completed a Ph.D. in Ophthalmology from the Lions Eye Institute and UWA, publishing 10 papers in international journals. She has been a Unit Coordinator, Clinical Lecturer, and Examiner at UWA, and continues to be actively involved in teaching medical students at UWA. She holds a Diploma in Child Health. Priscilla’s interest in skin began in 2005 with work experience in Dermatology, and she later gained broad clinical and surgical experience in Oculoplastics. This experience, coupled with her passion for preventative healthcare in General Practice, has to lead her to pursue her keen interest in skin cancer medicine.

Dr Georgina Fiori holds an MBBS from the University of WA and has had a longstanding interest in dermatology and skin pathology. She has completed a Professional Certificate of Dermatology and has extensive experience providing care for adults and children in Perth and rural WA. Georgina has a strong interest in ongoing education, having published research into skin conditions affecting our rural Indigenous communities, as well as methods for improving education for health workers in skin medicine. She is passionate about reducing the burden that skin cancers cause in our community, and is committed to using her skills to provide excellent care in this field.

Dr Shiran Xiao obtained her MBBS from the University of Notre Dame Australia in Fremantle. She also received post-graduate qualifications in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Palliative Care Medicine. During her General Practice training, she developed an interest in Skin Cancer Medicine and is passionate about early detection and treatment of skin cancers. In her spare time, she enjoys Muay Thai training and travelling.

Dr Shawn Hsia graduated from Flinders University in 2011. After the internship, he completed three years of surgical training, during which time, he received a Master’s degree in Surgical Sciences from The University of Adelaide. He completed his GP training in WA and is a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practice. Shawn reads and studies conscientiously even on his days off to further his knowledge and skills. He lives on black coffee, appreciates arts, loves music, and has a good taste in wine. Dr Eva graduated medicine in 2014. She has worked in many disciplines in the hospital setting before completing her fellowship in General Practice, including further studies in skin cancer medicine. She joined the Skin Check team in 2020.

Dr Corryn holds a Bachelor of Science from McGill University in Canada, graduating with honors. She went on to complete her MBBS from UWA and graduated again with honors. She is a fellow of the RACGP, holds a Diploma in Child Health, a Professional Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine and is undertaking both a Diploma in Dermoscopy and an Advanced Certificate in Skin Cancer Surgery.
With a strong family history of skin cancer she is passionate about sun safety, skin cancer prevention, and the early detection of skin cancer.

Dr Felix Grusche studied Medicine at Monash University in Melbourne after completing a PhD in cancer research at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
He has a long-term interest in dermatology and cancer and has published multiple research articles on these topics in peer-reviewed journals. He enjoys the procedural work that comes with skin cancer medicine and is excited to be part of the team at Skin Check WA.

Dr Robert Grohs graduated from the University of Notre Dame School of Medicine with distinction. He has published multiple articles and presented internationally on skin medicine.
He holds a professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and prior to starting at Skin Check WA he was training as a pathology registrar which aided him in understating skin cancer at a cellular level.

Dr Justine graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Notre Dame University in Fremantle with first class honours in research.
Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Science and Naturopathy degree in Melbourne. After nine years of University, Dr Justine then worked for many years in emergency medicine, the intensive care unit and went on to complete her Fellowship for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
She has a strong interest in skin health and preventative health and looks forward to working with you on your health journey.

Dr Ve Wen Phang graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2013 and since then has worked in many disciplines – surgical and nonsurgical, in the hospital setting.
She has completed her GP training in WA and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice. She has a special interest in all things skin, including sun protection and skin cancers.
In her free time, she enjoys music, exercise, and food.

Dr Paige graduated from the University of WA with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2009. She went on to gain further certification in women’s health, and Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine, before gaining Fellowship in the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015. She then went on to work in the fields of GP, cosmetic skin, and medical laser treatments.
Paige’s passion for skin care has stemmed from a keen interest in the areas of cosmetics and preventative care and her strong family history of skin cancer.
She believes prevention is key and continues to promote sun safety, skin cancer prevention, and general skin care.

Dr Claire graduated from Notre Dame University in Fremantle in 2018. Prior to commencing General Practice training she worked at a number of hospitals in Perth and regional WA and formerly had a career as a podiatrist in the Mid-West.
She has undertaken further training in sexual health and pediatrics.
She has a strong belief in the importance of preventative medicine and looks forward to working with our patients to optimise their skin health.

Dr Jen Alderson graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2016 and worked at a number of hospitals in Perth and rural WA before starting General Practice training.
She has completed additional courses in skin cancer medicine, sexual health and paediatrics. She enjoys working with patients in the early detection and prevention of skin cancer.
In her spare time, Jen likes scuba diving, travelling, camping and spending time at home with her dog Coco.

Dr Sally graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2013, and attained her fellowship with the RACGP in 2018. Growing up on a farm in rural WA, and spending much of her career in Broome, she has many friends, family and patients affected by skin cancer and sun damage. She is passionate about preventative medicine and early intervention.

Dr Courtney is a friendly and approachable doctor who graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2016 and completed her GP training in 2023 with RACGP. She grew up in Bunbury and has worked in many parts of regional and urban Australia as a junior doctor. She understands the importance of skin cancer prevention and early detection and has seen first hand the detrimental effects of delayed management. She developed a keen interest in procedural skills and skin cancer excisions early in her career and has completed a number of short courses to fine tune these skills. She has a passion for continual learning and doctor wellbeing.

Dr Helena Merrett graduated with honours from The University of Western Australia in 2013, following a career in sports Physiotherapy. Since 2014, she has worked across Sir Charles Gairdner, Perth Children’s and King Edward Memorial Hospitals whilst completing post graduate qualifications in Women’s and Children’s Health. She is currently completing her Fellowship with the Royal College of General Practitioners. She is passionate about preventative health care and early detection of skin cancer.

Dr George was born and raised in Geraldton, and completed his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees at the University of Western Australia. George is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and has a passion for skin cancer medicine. He has a keen interest in the use of dermoscopy in diagnosing skin cancers, and enjoys the preventative and procedural aspects of the field. Outside of work, George is an avid musician. If he's not behind an instrument, he can often be found on his electric skateboard, enjoying the sun in a long sleeved flannel.

Dr Zhiren Tan graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2013. He went on to work across multiple surgical specialities over the following years before completing his fellowship with the RACGP, which included both rural and metro hospitals across WA. He is committed to excellence in patient outcomes through ongoing education and ensuring good communication with his patients. When he is not at work, he enjoys photography and attempting to cook.

Dr Arielle grew up in Perth and moved to Queensland to study medicine. She returned to Perth in 2018 to work for the South Metropolitan Health Service where she worked in a variety of medical and surgical fields. She also spent 6 months working in Perth Children’s Hospital and 3 months in the Pilbara.
She is currently completing her Fellowship with the Royal College of General Practitioners. She is passionate about promoting sun safety and early detection of skin cancers. Outside of medicine she enjoys attending Pilates classes, catching up with friends over a good meal and trying her best to care for her growing indoor plant collection.
